Hilltop Orchards is a historic apple orchard set on 200 picturesque acres in the beautiful Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts. It is also home to the region's first farm winery. Furnace Brook Winery (named for the stream originating on the property) produces 16 award-winning wines including the Johnny Mash hard cider made from the orchard's Northern Spy and McIntosh apples. The Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are some of the varietals that have won awards at the Big E Northeast Wine Competitions. Stop by for a free wine tasting, shop the Farm Winery Store for fresh baked goods and homemade preserves. Relax outside in the Gazebo or inside by the fireplace in the Barrel Room.
In addition to apple picking and hayrides in the fall, visitors enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking almost year-round. Full moon hikes/snowshoe treks are scheduled monthly, weather permitting.

This family-owned farm is searching for an individual or couple to start an organic CSA - the land and farm equipment will be of no charge and the individuals can keep the profits of the sale of produce.
Hours:
Open DAILY from 9am-5pm year-round. Free hayrides are Sat.& Sun. from 11am-4pm during apple picking season.

Directions: From Mass Pike - take Exit 1 then MA-41 north then left on Rt 295 about 1 mile down
From Lenox (less than 9 miles) - take MA-183 west, stay straight onto Richmond Mt Rd which become Lenox Rd, turn right onto MA-41 and left on Rt 295 as above.
The farm is located about 4 miles from Hancock Shaker Village on Rt 295, just a few miles from the NY border.
